Holts Summit Community
Since 1980 the city has progressed from one pizza place to two pizza places, two Mexican restaurants, two family restaurants, a Chinese restaurant and a coffee shop.
Holts Summit is part of the Jefferson City School District, housing two grade schools from kindergarten thru fifth grade. Both schools have the feeling of a country school but have the up-to-date facilities and teachers. After they finish these two schools, they switch to Jefferson City Middle School and High School.
There are sports offered through school and community. The schools have softball, football, and basketball. The city offers a softball/baseball program from early spring until early summer. There is a golf course between Holts Summit...
The town of Holts Summit offers an Easter egg hunt, Fourth of July vendors and giant fireworks display, and a Christmas parade. They draw a lot of people from inside and outside areas. The Lion's Club is very active with plant sales, firework sales, Christmas tree lot, and other activities.
For the second year in a row, Holts Summit has been named one of Missouri's safest places to live. In 2016 they were ranked #8 and in 2017 they moved up to #6. This makes them the safest place to live in central Missouri.
The large park houses the baseball/softball games, civic center, acres of land and a lake. There is a smaller one that has all kinds of playground equipment, picnic area, and walking trails.
You can live in a small town atmosphere, but be minutes from Jefferson City.
