So far this year, there have been 813 NEW LISTINGS. Last year, at this time, there were 821 New Listings. The whole JC MLS is running about the same as the previous year.
Last year, in the month of May, there were 99 Homes Under Contract. This May, so far, there are 112 HOMES UNDER CONTRACT. A nice increase from the same time in 2018.
The AVERAGE SALES PRICE FOR MAY CLOSINGS are $193,140. That is a strong number that keeps getting better.
The YEAR-TO-DATE AVERAGE SALES PRICE is $170,747 which is up from 2018’s average of $154,750.
JC Area Real Estate’s AVERAGE DAYS ON THE MARKET is 61 across the entire Jefferson City Multiple Listing Service. Last year at this time it was 66.
As you can see the Jefferson City Real estate Market keeps getting stronger. Outlying areas such as the Holts Summit Housing Market and Wardsville Housing Market continue to be sought out areas, one for their land and the other for their schools. The Jefferson City Area is definitely seeing a swing in larger home sales. Homes from $200,000 and up are on a 5 year high.
